A colorful heavyweight from Colorado who fought his first bout in 1881 because his opponent insulted his girlfriend, and who was shot in 1890 oover an argument about money (and who may or may not have died from his wounds), John Clow began his career as a middleweight and eventually became a heavyweight, one of the first prizefighters trained by Bat Masterson.  Graded EX 5 by SGC, the card boasts sstrong clarity of image, one of the difficult-to-find early "script series" cards.
