The weak-hitting infielder Sam Barkley batted just .224 for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 1887, before moving on to Kansas City in the American Association to play the last two years of his career.  This card, graded GOOD 30 by SGC, attained the grade largely due to general wear and toning about the corners and edges, along with a faded back that has what appears to be a few small pencil markings.  Still, the card presents well for the grade, the brilliant, vivid color of the Buchner artwork shining through, despite the toning.
