Part of the 50-card "World Champions" set issued with Allen & Ginter cigarettes in 1887, these full-color lithographs are considered to be among the most beautiful cards ever produced.  This card, of Hall of Famer and first baseman/manager/owner Charlie Comiskey, features Commy with the St. Louis Browns, where he hit .335 with 103 RBI and 117 stolen bases in 1887, easily his greatest season.  The Browns that season finished first in the American Association, with a 95-40 record (that's correct, Comiskey stole 117 bases in just 135 games (and actually, he played in just 125 of them).

This particular example is a strong, bold one, graded EXCELLENT by SGC with exceptional color and a clean back.  An excellent, higher-grade example of one of the more desirable Hall of Famers from one of the most beautiful prewar baseball sets.
