Outstanding photo picturing game play at the Huntington Avenue Grounds in Boston, dated October 8, 1904.  On that date, the Boston Americans swept the New York Highlanders, winning the first game 13-2, and shutting the New Yorkers out in the second game, 1-0.  Taken from what appears to be the left-field bleachers, the 20 1/4" x 8 3/4" panorama pictures game play, the field ringed by spectators, grandstands near the infield apparently full.  Printed at the bottom of the photo is "American League Park, Huntington Ave. Boston Mass, Boston vs. New York, Oct. 8, 1904, along with an unintelligible word and the number 28040.  Photo copyright is attributed in print at the lower-left border by The Geo R. Lawrence Co. of Chicago.  The photo is somewhat faded and exhibits wear in the form of several creases in various areas of the photo.  Housed in a vintage frame that prevents us from examining the edges or reverse of the piece, the backing of the piece is affixed to its frame by a combination of cardboard and cloth tape on the reverse.  The frame does exhibit chipping and wear as a vintage frame would.  An attractive and desirable photo, a clear image of a classic deadball era ballpark.
