An absolutely gorgeous display piece, featuring the players and managers from each of the eight teams of the Eastern League in 1907.  Exquisitely framed to approximately 25 1/2 x 21", the photo is comprised of members of the Rochester Bronchos, Toronto Maple Leafs, Jersey City Skeeters, Newark Sailors, Providence Grays, Baltimore Orioles, Buffalo Bisons and Montreal Royals.

This is a brilliant piece, and not an easy one to find.  It contains photos of 119 players, many of whom would go on to play in the majors.  Many of the photos in this composite were later used on baseball cards, notably in the T206 issue (which included many players depicted here).  All eight managers - including Hall of Famers Hugh Duffy (Providence) and Joe Kelley (Toronto) - are also depicted.

Though we cannot assess the corners and edges of the composite because they are secured underneath the frame, it appears to be in excellent shape (and was described as such when sold to our consignor by another auction house, prior to being re-framed).  Surface wear is minimal and barely noticed underneath the glass of the frame.  The frame itself is wood, in pristine condition, expertly matted.

A wonderful article of baseball history that documents of one of early baseball's stronger minor leagues.  Dozens of players depicted herein appeared in the major leagues, and as previously noted, T206 collectors will recognize many of the photos in the composite immediately.  A spectacular display, one of the most beautiful we have seen.
