Issued by the American Caramel company in 1927, this seldom-seen issue looks similar to the E121 cards and their ilk, the primary design differences being the typeface and the width of the border.  Far more scarce than E121s, these cards have a thin gloss that is susceptible to chipping and creasing, however.  The 60-card set included 14 Hall of Famers, most notably Babe Ruth but also Cobb and Walter Johnson.

This card of Johnson has been graded GOOD 30 by SGC, due largely to creasing along the bottom left corner, and some of the minor chipping associated with these cards. Despite the modest grade, the card presents extraordinarily well, depicting the Big Train at the beginning of his trademark delivery.  A key card from a scarce issue that changes hands infrequently; just two examples have sold publicly as single cards since 2008.
