Attractive ticket stub to the opening game of the 1929 World Series at Wrigley Field.  A five-game series that would see the Athletics wipe out the Cubs, the first game was won by the Athletics.  In that game, A's pitcher Howard Ehmke went the distance, putting up a dominant performance and setting the record for most strikeouts in a World Series game with 13.  Oddly, Ehmke was a surprise pick by manager Connie Mack, who felt that Ehmke's sidearm delivery would be tougher on the Cubs than ace pitchers Lefty Grove and George Earnshaw.  Mack proved right, as Ehmke broke Ed Walsh's record of 12 strikeouts in one Series game, set 23 years earlier.

Graded EX 5, a historically significant ticket, with outstanding visual appeal, just a tad of excess paper extending beyond the edge of the stub near the perforation on the reverse.
