Perhaps the single greatest feat in All-Star game history - or, at least, the most memorable - was Carl Hubbell's amazing record of five consecutive strikeouts of some of the greatest hitters in the history of the game.  In succession, Hubbell struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin.  His record has never been broken in All-Star play - and, if you factor in the quality of the players, it probably never will be.

Lost in the legend of that story is the explosive American League offense, which opened up against Van Mungo in the 5th, winning the game by a 9-7 margin.  All these years later, it's Hubbell's performance that remains memorable.

Presented here is a collector-grade stub from the game, graded PR 1 by PSA.  The grade is due to overall wear, an upper-left corner clip, an uneven cut at the perf, along with general surface wear and creasing.  Still, a relatively scarce stub from one of the most important All-Star games in history.
