Pair of single-day passes issued to military personnel by the St. Louis teams in the 1942 season.  Includes an April 12 pass issued to a Cardinals game and a May 26 pass issued to a Browns game, accompanied by a handwritten note:

"Note:

After arriving at Scott Field, Illinois (U.S. Air Corps) in 1941, I attended several games until I shipped out to O.C.S (Officer's Candidate School).  Convoys would trnsport us to the park.

The St. Louis Browns park was Sportsman's Park on Grand Avenue.

Anthony A. Spirito"

Both passes are in poor condition with significant wear, some paper loss, staining, and in the case of the Browns' pass, some cclear tape affixed to the left and right edge leaving dark stains.  Still, outstanding documents of war era baseball, and the game's longstanding support of American troops.
