Outstanding collection of memorabilia related to Andy Cohen, particularly his time as manager of the Denver Bears of the Western League.  Cohen broke into the majors as a player in 1926 and had a three-year major league career, but played in the minors until 1942.  He then saw action in North Africa as a first sergeant in the US Army.  After the way, Cohen returned to manage the Bears from 1951 through 1954, winning a championship in the final year.  Presented here are five pieces related to Cohen: 1) 1933 Goudey Baseball Card: VG condition, corner and edge wear consistent witih the grade: 2) 1952 Official Scorecard: strong condition, bold, vibrant color on the cover.  Unscored.  3) Two original news service photos: Both picture Cohen in the midst of umpire situations.  One, dated April 23, 1953, pictures Cohen in his away uniform, arguing with the umpire. The second, dated May 11 of 1953, pictures Cohen in his home uniform, taking the walk to the clunhouse after being ejected.  4) 1952 Fans Gift: Fantastic "spur" ashtray - beautiful engraved piece, measuring about 7" x 4", in the shape of a spur with a spinning rowel.  Engraving on the side of the piece, amidst a number of ornate designs, reads "Andy Cohen From Boulder Fans 8-8-52." A spectacular gift, given to the manager by his fans. Five different pieces total.
