Ticket stub from a doubleheader played on August 14 of 1938 between the Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics at Yankee Stadium.  A good day to be a Yankee fan, the New Yorkers won both games, taking the first game by a 4-3 margin and cleaning up in the second, 9-2.  The first game was actually won on a walkoff home run by George Seklirk, though Gehrig added a home run and a triple in the game. Gehrig's 21st home run of the season came in the 3rd inning of Game 2.  The ticket stub has been graded AUTHENTIC by PSA, llikely not due to any alteration but due to the propensity of many ticket collectors to only request numerical grades on the highest-grade tickets.  This example presents extremely well, with an irregular tear at the perforation creating a jagged edge and paper loss on the back that would reduce the technical grade, but has little impact on its eye appeal.
