Spalding Official NL (Giles) baseball signed and inscribed by Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace.  Wallace, who inscribed and signed the baseball  on May 6 of 1958 (according to the date written on the ball), just two years before his death.  The signature is faded considerably, was applied in steel-tip fountain pen, right across the sweet spot.  Wallace signatures are considered scarce, with single-signed baseballs fetching thousands.  The Hall of Fame shortstop batted .268 lifetime, then became a manager upon his retirement, umpiring in 1915, and later becoming a scout.  An outstanding single-signed and inscribed ball from a deadball era Hall of Famer.  Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
