Ten personal checks signed by Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner, each from 1978 and 1979 except for one, issued in 1971.  Each of the ten checks are issued in the name of either Kiner or of Kiner's Korner, the Hall of Famer's broadcast TV show.

While Kiner's baseball career is legendary, he is perhaps known best today as a television commentator.  Kiner, who served as General Manager for the San Diego Padres after his playing career, chose to broadcast the Padres games himself, rather than hire a broadcaster.  Attracting the attention of the Chicago White Sox, he moved to Chicago and began broadcasting White Sox games in 1961.  The following year, he moved to New York, and along with Lindsey Nelson and Bob Murphy began broadcasting Mets games, where he still occasionally appears today.  Today, he is the oldest active baseball announcer at 90 years old.

These checks all present strongly, all having been cancelled and thus possessing a variety of stamps and bank markings.  An outstanding collection of autographs from one of our greatest living ballplayers and legendary announcers.
