Incredibly rare Shibe Park scorebook from the 1911 World Series pitting the Athletics against the New York Giants.  The Athletics won the Series in six games, playing three at Shibe Park, including the sixth and final game.  While the New York version of the scorebook is certainly difficult in and of itself, the Philadelphia version is a known rarity, with examples virtually never coming to auction.  Indeed, our research has revealed just two examples of the Shibe Park scoreboard to have been sold in more than a decade: a severely torn and damaged example that sold for $11,300 in 2009, and another damaged example that was buried in a group lot of memorabilia in a 2011 auction and sold for a much lower price.

This example also exhibits some condition flaws, the most notable one being the fact that the center scorecard page has been removed from the book and is no longer present.  The outer cover has been repaired at the spine with tape, and two tears have also been repaired with clear tape at the cover.  The 24 remaining interior pages present well, with tearing at the spine from use.  Technical condition would be POOR, but again, as a significant rarity, the only specimens we have seen would attain the same technical grade.  This is an incredibly rare scorebook, with examples coming to market very infrequently.
