Exceptional 1930 Type 1 photograph signed in fountain pen by its four subjects, each members of the 1930 New York Yankees: Benny Bengough, Roy Sherid, Bob Shawkey and Babe Ruth.

While much is known about Ruth, Shawkey and Bengough, Roy Sherid is a name not frequently associated with the great Yankee teams of the late 1920s and early 1930s.  He pitched, in fact, in just three major league seasons, all with the Yankees, between 1929 and 1931, compiling a 23-24 lifetime record with a 4.71 ERA in 411.2 innings pitched.  He moved to the International League in 1931, finishing his baseball career with three games for the 1932 Newark Bears.  Of the four subjects, it is (thankfully) Sherid's signature that is most faded, the three remaining signatures applied boldly across the breast of each player.  While each signature does exhibit some fading and mild ink skips, Ruthy's signature (note his "rally cap") appears strongest due to the plain white fabric of his sweatshirt, the only player not in full uniform.

The photo itself is in good condition, with some creasing, but is otherwise bold and clear.  Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
