The "Type 2" issue attributed to the Texas Tommy set of 1914 is linked to the Type 1 variety only by the photo and typography on the card fronts.  No other identifying characteristics of the issue are shared by the Type 1 variety, as the cards are smaller, more glossy and contain no printing of any kind on the reverse.  Still, the cards are particularly rare, and the checklist of known examples considerable smaller than that of the Type 1 variety.

Steve Yerkes is one of the players found in both the Type 1 and Type 2 checklists, enabling researchers to link the two issues together.  This example is one of particularly high-grade, the "EX" assessment related primarily to corner wear.  An outstanding example from a particularly rare issue.
