Collection of six letters ranging from 1932 through 1961, each on Philadelphia Phillies or City of Philadelphia letterhead.  Each presents extremely well, and are being offered here for theid display characteristics.  Collection includes 1) 1932 letter from the Phillies' Gerald P. Nugent to the baseball editor of the Christian Science Monitor regarding the origin of the nickname "Phillies."  2) 1942 thank-you letter from Nugent to the Middle Atlantic League, thanking them for the gift of game passes.  3) 1955 letter that appears to be a rejection of an employment request.  4) 1955 letter from General Manager Roy Hamey to Babe Herman regarding signing his contract for the upcoming season.  5) 1960 letter from General Manager John Quinn to the GM of the Dodgers, congratulating him on being named "Executive of the Year."  6) 1961 letter from the Philadelphia City Council president to a Doylestown, PA resident regarding building a new stadium for the Phillies.  An interesting and colorful group of letters relating to the Philadelphia Phillies.  Six letters total.
