One of the first cards to picture Babe Ruth as a member of the Yankees, and likely the first to picture him in a Yankee Uniform, the 1921 Exhibits card of the Babe also is one of the few that depict him in a fielding pose.  The majority of Ruth cards, both before and after this point, pictured him either pitching or hitting, the two facets of the game for which he was best known.

This example of the 1921 Exhibits card is extraordinarily desirable for all those reasons, one of the most important Exhibit cards ever distributed.  Graded VG/EX+ 55 by SGC, the card boasts incredible visual appeal for the grade, the corners and edges sharp and straight, and very little wear apparent elsewhere.  In fact, this is, perhaps, the cleanest image that we have ever seen on this particular card, the detail far more visible than in other examples we have encountered.

One of the key cards in this auction, and one of the most important and desirable cards of the greatest player ever to set foot on a baseball diamond.
