Outstanding example of Babe Ruth's popular 1926 Exhibits card, a year before his 60 home run season. It is staggering to think that the .372 batting average posted by Ruth in 1926, along with 47 home runs and 153 runs batted in was not his finest offensive season, nor was it in his top five, a testament to the gaudy statistics he posted each year. Despite this, he had long been established as a monster celebrity and national hero by 1926, and his cards are clearly the most desirable of every issue in which he appeared. This example, graded VG 40 by SGC, is clean and attractive, with corner rounding consistent with the grade being the primary flaw of the card. Regardless, an exceptional card with a classic image of The Babe.
