Spring, 2017 Premier Auction - Closes April 1, 2017
Featuring the most popular players of the late 1920s, the 1926-29 Exhibit set is a favorite amongst collectors. Most interestingly, this set is known for its wide variety of different tints used. The following collection, between lots 661 and 703 represents a very sizeable portion of this popular set.
Featuring young Hall of Fame member Lou Gehrig, this popular card is one of the keys to the entire set. The recent popularity of early Gehrig cards, especially exhibits, cannot be overstated. Graded “fair” by SGC due to creasing and corner wear, this example is in collector grade but none of the wear distracts from the awesome image of the young slugger getting ready to swing.
