Full ticket to Game 5 of the 1978 World Series, the final Series game that year to be played at Yankee Stadium.

The 1978 season was one of the most memorable in Yankees history; the team trailed the Boston Red Sox by 14 1/2 games as late as July and managed an epic comeback that culminated in a single-game playoff between the two teams that was won by the Yankees.  The team defeated the Kansas City Royals in the League Championship Series, only to lose the first two games of the World Series at Dodger Stadium

Heading home to Yankee Stadium with Cy Young winner Ron Guidry on the mound, Guidry was not sharp, and the Yankees depended on a stellar defensive performance by third baseman Graig Nettles to keep the Dodgers off the board, as he virtually singlehandedly won the game for the Yankees.  The team would then win Game 4 in extra innings after a legendary non-interference call against Reggie Jackson, and then dismantled the Dodgers in Game 5, winning 12-2 behind five RBI by Thurman Munson.  The Yankees completed the sweep by beating the Dodgers, 7-2 in Game 6.

The ticket is in EX condition with some minor wear to the edges and corners, and some age-related discoloration/toning around the edges.  Otherwise, an excellent full ticket to one of the most memorable World Series of the modern era.
