The 1955 Bowman salesman's sample is different than the others in this auction in that, while the other samples are regular-issue cards in three-card uncut panels with a decal on the back, the sales information on the back of the '55 Bowman panel is much larger, and more detailed.  Touting "20 Years of Leadership," the back advertises Bowman's "TV Baseball Card Gum," advising retailers to expect high demand from "every sport fan, young and grown up."  Offering both penny and nickel packs, the colorful and bold ad provides the retailer with the advice to "stock a dozen boxes!"

The face of the panel includes three cards, of Joe Adcock, Del Crandall and Dale Ennis.  As one would expect, the panel exhibits wear, mostly in the form of creasing (one line of spider creases runs the entire length of the strip, while others also appear).  The strip, however, presents extremely well.  Graded "authentic" and encapsulated by PSA, this is a very difficult-to-find companion pieces to one of the most interesting baseball sets of the 1950s.
