Well-preserved ticket stub to the May 21, 1912 game between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Naps.  Game 28 of the season was won by Boston, with Cleveland's superstar centerfielder Joe Jackson going 0-for-3 with a walk.  Boston scored two runs in the first and another in the fourth for a 3-1 victory, with Buck O'Brien outdueling Vean Gregg for the win.  The ticket is in FAIR condition, with the majority of the wear visible on the back in the form of paper loss from scrapbook mounting, along with some glue stains, edge wear and an irregular tear at the perf.  The front of the ticket presents far stronger, but with some light wrinkling visible, along with some chipping and small stains throughout.

NOTE: This lot is being withdrawn because our description is in error.  The "28" on the stub refers, of course, to Boston's 28th home game, and not the 28th game of the season.  Boston's 28th home game was actually later in May against Washington, and Joe Jackson was not involved.  We apologize for the error, and will re-list this stub in our next auction with a proper description.
