Reach Official American League baseball signed by 25 members of tthe 1948 St. Louis Browns.  The baseball originates from the estate of former trainer Bob Bauman, as do the rest of the Browns team-signed baseballs featured in this auction.  The baseball features the signature of pitcher Blackie Schwamb, whose career ended after the 1948 season, when he murdered a doctor while working to pay off a debt to a Los Angeles crime figure.  He was sentenced to life in prison in 1949.  Signatures include Les Moss, Paul Lehner, Eddie Pellagrini, Al Zarilla, Ray Porter, Zack Taylor, Joe Schultz, Ryan Stephens, Al Widmar, Cliff Fannin, Andy Anderson, Don Lund, Ned Garver, Al Gerheauser, Hank Arft, Jerry Priddy, Dick Kokos, Whitey Platt, Sam Dente, Frank Biscan, Ralph "Blackie" Schwamb, Joe Ostrowski, Rob Dillinger, and one unidentifiable.  Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
