Exceptional Louisville Slugger bat used by Gene Woodling, manufactured in the 1961-62 period, while Woodling was nearing the tail end of his excellent career, playing with the Washington Senators.  Woodling boasted a 17-year career, batting .284, and reaching many milestones, including 1,500 lifetime hits.  His best season was 1957, when he batted .321 with 19 home runs and 78 RBI with Cleveland. The uncracked bat exhibits evidence of light use, and displays wonderfully.  Measuring 36" in length, and weighing in at 37.4 ounces, the bat is a beast, clearly from an era when it was thought that heavier bats were preferable.  LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
