Enormous 36 1/2" club used by monster first baseman Frank "Hondo" Howard, whose size 52 coaches' jersey is featured elsewhere in this auction.  Howard was 6'7", 254lb slugger at a time when that height toward over almost all major league ballplayers.  Extremely underrated, Howard won the Rookie of the Year in 1960 and went on to wallop 382 home runs lifetime, leading the league in 1968 and 1970.

Attractive Louisville Slugger bat weighs a paltry 32.4 ounces, quite a spread between the length and weight of the stick.  Light evidence of use is observable, along with a repaired handle crack.  From the collection of former Orioles broadcaster Ted Patterson, the bat comes with a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
