Beautiful 1968 Louisville Slugger used by Cleveland Indians third baseman Max Alvis.  Alvis is an underrated name, a power-hitting infielder who played all but one season with the Indians.  His best season was probably 1963, when he batted .324 with 22 home runs and 67 RBI, but he was a consistent power hitter between 1963 and 1967.  Alvis tailed off in 1968, and was eventually replaced by Graig Nettles, who went on to have a borderline Hall of Fame career, mostly with the Yankees.

The bat measures 35 inches in length and weighs in at 32 ounces, having been graded GU 8 by John Taube of PSA/DNA.  Alvis' number 10 is written in black marker on the knob.  A strong example from a long-ago Cleveland Indians fan favorite.
