Outstanding Louisville Slugger bat used by Tigers first baseman Johnny Neun.  Dating to the 1925-28 labeling period, the bat measures 35 inches in length, and weighs a whopping 36.4 ounces.  Neun, according to his SABR biography, "served in the capacities of player, coach, manager, instructor and scout.  Along the way, he earned a reputation as a great baseball mind, an excellent storyteller, and an outstanding human being."  In 1927, Neun executed a game-ending unassisted triple play, snaring a hot line drive and doubling off the runner coming back to first, and continuing on to beat the baserunner who had taken off from second, thinking the ball was a hit.

The uncracked bat does exhibit some light signs of use, including scuffs and markings along the barrel.  LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
