Outstanding two-tone Louisville Slugger model P72 used by Baltimore Orioles superstar and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr., during the 1983-86 time period.  The bat exhibits excellent evidence of game use, including ball marks and stitch impressions, along with blue ink transfers.  The bat includes a handle crack that has been repaired, along with a light coating of pine tar on the handle. Ripken's uniform number 8 was written in black marker on the knob, and the Hall of Famer signed the bat in gold Sharpie on the barrel.  The bat has been graded GU 8.5 by PSA/DNA, and was part of the collection of former Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Ted Patterson, who likely obtained the bat directly from Ripken.  LOA on the autograph from James Spence Authentication.
