One of the most beloved and important logos in all baseball history, the white "B" against the royal blue felt of the Brooklyn Dodgers cap is a design that has not been in use for more than 60 years, yet remains one of the most popular in the game.  This Spalding cap dates to the 1946-49 era, and though no size is indicated, the number 4 is written in dark ink inside the brim.  Duke Snider has signed the cap in blue fiber-tip marker.  Unfortunately, inside the crown (visible in the picture) is splotch of black marker that, upon close examination, appears to cover up the number 2.  Although our research uncovers no member of the Dodgers wore number 2 during the manufacturing period, MEARS is unable to attribute the cap to Snider directly due to the presence of two numbers in the cap.  Despite that, a wonderfully attractive game-worn Brooklyn Dodgers cap, possibly worn by the Hall of Fame centerfielder.  Note that the signature has not been authenticated, but is guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA or JSA.
