The 1975 Boston Red Sox season was one of the most exciting seasons of an outstanding decade for baseball; the Red Sox won the AL East with a 95-65 record, defeated the defending champion Oakland A's in the Championship Series, and met up with the Big Red Machine for the team's first World Series appearance in nearly a decade.  The Series was one of the greats; a seven-game affair with five one-run games.  Two games went into extra innings, two more were decided in the 9th inning, with the deciding Game 7 won on a Joe Morgan bloom single in the 9th.

On his way to a Hall of Fame career, Carlton Fisk batted .331 in 1975, with 10 home runs and 52 RBI, a bittersweet season for the 27-year-old catcher, who missed the beginning of the season after having his forearm broken when hit by a pitch during spring training.  Fisk rebounded strong and had a legendary postseason, batting .417 against the Athletics and hitting one of the most famous home runs in baseball history in Game 6 of the World Series, a 12th inning shot off the left field foul pole, with Fisk dramatically waving for the ball to stay fair as he hopped down the first base line.

Presented here is Fisk's road jersey from that amazing season, a beautiful McAuliffe jersey with Fisk's number 27 emblazoned on the back.  Fisk has signed the jersey near the tail.  The jersey has received a perfect grade of A10 from MEARS.  A tremendous game-worn jersey from one of the great seasons in modern sports history.
