The 1922 World Series between the New York Giants and New York Yankees, on paper, was a four-game sweep for the Giants.  Game 2 took place at the Polo Grounds, an extra inning affair that pitted Bob Shawkey against Bob Meusel that the Yankees tied in the 8th to send into extra innings.  The game was called at the close of the tenth inning, "on account of darkness," though many in attendance felt that there was still plenty of light to continue playing, and that the tie was called in an effort to increase overall gate receipts for the game.

Bright bule Polo Grounds stub appears in VG condition, chipping evident at all edges and the perf, which does exhibit some overall weakness.  Corner and edge softness is also apparent.  Still, an excellent early World Series ticket stub to the one controversial game in the Giants' "sweep."
