Exceptional Yankee Stadium ticket stub from Game 2 of the 1926 World Series between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals.  The Cardinals would win the Series in 7 games, the team's first of many appearances in a World Series.  Game 2 saw Grover Cleveland Alexander face Urban Shocker in what promised to be a pitcher's duel but wound up one-sided, as the Cardinals won the game, 6-2, behind three RBI from Billy Southworth and two more from Hall of Famer Jim Bottomley.  The stub has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA, soft edges and corners the primary condition flaws in what is otherwise an attractive piece.
