The 1961 season was one of the most exciting in the history of the game, as Yankees sluggers Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris held a season-long batting clinic and chase of Babe Ruth's single-season home run record.  Yankee fans chose their favorite, but while Mantle went down briefly with injuries, Maris continued, posting tremendous power numbers and winning his second consecutive MVP award.  As the season wound down, the Yankees, who had been in first place since late July, faced the Baltimore Orioles.  In the third inning, Maris connected for his 60th home run, off Baltimore's Jack Fisher, tying the 34-year-old record in the Yankees' 3-2 victory.

The stub admitted the bearer to a mezzanine reserved seat, and was well-preserved by its owner, the date and milestone home run noted in ink on the reverse.  Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA, one of the most significant milestone games of the postwar era.
