The 25-card PC796 "Sepia" set features fifteen Hall of Famers, with Walter Johnson as one of the set's key cards.  Featuring Johnson at the end of his classic follow-through and his name ornately lettered at the bottom of the image, this is one of the Big Train's more rare cards, highly sought after by collectors as both a rare type card and a difficult-to-obtain Hall of Famer.

Graded VG 40 by SGC, this is a spectacular example, with only two copies ever having graded higher.  It goes beyond that, however, as this card has the outward appearance of a higher-grade card, with the lower corners (particularly the lower left) being slightly more rounded than those of a VG/EX card, and a small surface abrasion at the top likely responsible for the downgrade.  Postally unused, this is an amazing example of one of the most popular and widely collected prewar Hall of Famers, and one of the greatest pitchers of all time.
