A fantastic display piece, this tin features a boy in a baseball uniform, swinging a bat on a ballfield, a banner proudly exclaiming "Union Made" waving above his head.  The tin's red and white checkerboard design makes it very bright and colorful, small paint chips and overall patina do not detract from the tin's appearance.  While the tax stamp has been torn away in places, parts are still visible, including the 1910 date. The union label is still intact on the bottom of the tin.

Despite its age and intended use, the lid still fastens and raises.  Measuring approximately 3 1/2" x 4 1/8", this is a beautiful and colorful remnant of a day when the lines between tobacco marketing and children were indeed very blurry.
