The running joke in the hobby is that Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller was such a prolific signer that it's more difficult to find an item that hasn't been signed by Rapid Robert than it is to find one that has.  That said, his greatness as a pitcher and an ambassador for the game makes his cards - signed or otherwise - highly collectible.

Presented here is an attractive example of Feller's 1951 Bowman card, signed boldly across the front.  Authenticated by SGC, the card has some general wear and registration issues, but it is the signature on such an early example of Feller's cardboard that is most interesting and collectible here.  An outstanding pitcher who broke in with the Indians at 17 years old, the pride of Van Meter, Iowa was the first American pro athlete to enlist in the armed forces after Pearl Harbor and served with the US Navy until 1945.
