The 1941 Yankees were a monster team, led by manager Joe McCarthy and a hard-hitting outfield comprised of Joe DiMaggio, Charlie Keller and Tommy Henrich.  The team finished 101-53, besting the second-place Boston Red Sox by 17 games, and then demolished the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series, 4 games to 1.  In a hotly-contested battle, DiMaggio, whos 56-game hitting streak captivated the nation, won the league MVP award, eclipsing Boston's Ted Williams and his .406 batting average.  Hall of Fame pitcher Red Ruffing posted a 15-6 record in his next-to-last season, and fellow Hall of Famer Lefty Gomez went 15-5.

Presented here is a magazine cutout photo, very well-preserved in outstanding condition, that has been signed by 12 members of the 1941 team including many of its major contributors.  Currently unframed, this photo is very suitable for display.  Signatures include the following:

Phil Rizzuto (HOF), Spud Chandler, Earle Combs (HOF - Clubhouse), Atley Donald, Joe McCarthy (HOF), Charlie Keller, Tommy Henrich, Bill Dickey (HOF), Frank Crosetti, Red Ruffing (HOF), Joe DiMaggio (HOF - Clubhouse), Lefty Gomez (HOF) and George Selkirk.

Despite the two clubhouse signatures, this is an excellent memento of one of the most dominant Yankee World Championship teams.

LOA from James Spence Authentication.
