Fantastic 1937 photo measuring just shy of 8 1/2" x 6 1/2", picturing Giants pitchers Carl Hubbell and Cliff Melton, each holding the ball in their pitching grip.  Taken in advance of the Series, the photo caption in the slug refers to the heavy burden that Hubbell and Melton would need to carry as aces of the Giants' staff.  Unfortunately neither was up to the task, as Hubbell finished the Series with a 1-1 record against a 3.77 ERA and Melton finished 0-2, the Giants losing in five games.  The photo is worn but presents extremely well, one series of spider creases running top to bottom across Melton's image, along with some other, more minor creasing issues.  The slug has been reattached to the reverse with masking tape.  Full LOA from PS/DNA.
