Extremely rare oversized felt pennant dating to the Philadelphia Athletics 1910 heyday.  The pennant is considered one of the most beautiful and widely coveted pennants of its era, at 32 inches significantly larger than the traditional "full-size"pennants of the era.  Featuring an elegantly-painted image of manager Connie Mack (HOF) in front of a large white elephant rearing back on its hind legs, the words "Connie Mack's Athletics" appear in white lettering, vertically down the length of the pennant.

The handsome pennant is constructed of a rich, navy blue felt, in outstanding condition save for some minor spots of wear, a tiny clip in the upper corner and two tiny holes near the narrow portion of the pennant.  The white reinforced edge and tassels are intact but do exhibit moderate soiling; a small tackhole is visible as well.  Regardless of the tiny flaws in the piece, it remains extremely well-preserved; one of the finest examples of this rare and desirable pennant in existence.  An extraordinary piece of baseball art, one of the finest we have encountered.
