Beautiful Canadian issue of Dizzy Dean, who inherited the title of most popular and colorful player in the game after the retirement of Babe Ruth.  Dean's key season was 1934, when he and his brother Paul led the Cardinals to a World Championship with some of the most incredible pitching performances ever recorded, and by 1936 Dean's injuries were cutting his career short.  Still, his incredible five year stretch between 1932 and 1936 have made him one of the most popular and endearing figures in the game's history.
