One of the most widely-recognized and highly-desirable of all the Old Judge baseball cards or cabinets, this card pairs up Hall of Famer Buck Ewing with Willie Breslin, the young and popular Giants mascot.  Breslin was popular enough to have been given his old card in the N172 Old Judge set, and standing on a chair alongside the great Giants catcher in full (yet miniature) uniform, this is one of the most popular and memorable images in all the 19th Century card issues.

Recently graded VG 3 (MK) by PSA, the card image is strong for the issue, some light fading evident near the top.  Some light soiling is evident, along with some corner wear, the most apparent flaw being a pronounced corner crease at the upper right.  The MK qualifier was assigned due to some pencil writing on the reverse (simply "Ewing and Mascot," written neatly along the top edge) along with a small but heavier mark at the top left edge.  Some light creasing and water staining is evident on the reverse near the bottom, which does not pass through to the front.  Additional condition issues on the front include some minor chipping at the corners, along with some minor staining at the top-left.  The highest-graded of the two exampleas assessed by PSA, as a whole, the card is tremendous, one of the most desirable of all the N173 Old Judge cards, certainly among the most memorable and best-recognized 19th Century baseball cards.
