Yet another lovely example from our Western Pennsylvania 1952 Topps find, the 1952 Topps Eddie Mathews is the "perfect storm" of postwar baseball cards: a rookie card of a Hall of Famer, from the desirable "high number" series of the hobby's premier postwar issue, condition-sensitive due to being the final card in a set.  As a result, higher-grade specimens are rare.

This example has been graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by PSA due to centering, but has the appearance of a much higher-grade card.  Vivid color, razor-sharp edges and brilliant white borders add considerable eye appeal despite the centering.  Further lending to the desirability of the card is the simple fact that it is fresh to the hobby, previously untouched outside the family from which it came.  Pristine, fresh finds are rare with cards of this vintage, such a stunning example of the issue's second most important card is quite rare.
