An extremely scarce and desirable card, this 1953 Stahl-Meyer issue of Dodgers Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella is a classic issue.  Considered to be one of THE key regional cards from the 1950s, the scarcity of the issue coupled with the demand for Campanella cards have made this a highly sought-after card in any grade.  Subject to condition woes, the Stahl-Meyer set is scarce in any condition but the overwhelming majority of currently graded cards are in the POOR range (nearly 60% of all Stahl-Meyers graded by PSA have not eclipsed the POOR level).  This card is no exception to the condition rule, however, the card boasts significantly stronger eye appeal than many.  Waviness and creasing throughout, along with the ubiquitous ink stamp on the front, does not detract from the overall card image, which appears largely unaffected by the creasing.
