Stunning, high-grade set, ranking #8 on the Current Finest list and #13 on the All-Time finest list on the PSA Set Registry, with an overall weighted GPA of 8.02.
Featuring only players from the American Football League, the 1962 Fleer set is the toughest of all the 1960s Fleer football sets, and is known for its colorful photography and its clean, simple design. Key cards include the rookie cards of Billy Shaw, Don Maynard, Fred Williamson and Gino Cappeletti, along with an early card of Jack Kemp and a very difficult card of Billy Lott.
This is an exceptional set. Just one card - card #74 of Fred Williamson - has been graded under NM-MT 8. And that card just missed by a half point, coming in at NMT+ 7.5! Five cards - #7 Walt Cudzik, #15 Tom Rychlec, #17 Ken Rice, #38 Eldon Danenhauer, and #41 Bud McFadin - have been graded MINT 9. All the rest have achieved a grade of NM-MT 8.
