Attractive and colorful Sidney Lucas aquatint print, entitled "The American National Game of Base Ball."  The print is a vintage reproduction of the well-known Currier & Ives lithograph that depicted tthe very first professional baseball game, the 1865 Grand Match at Elysian Fields in Hoboken, NJ.  After the original product, several different printmakers have manufactured beautiful art prints depicting this image.  While the exact date of this print's manufacture is unknown, Lucas operated a print show in New York City from the late 1920s to the 1950s.

Beautifully matted and framed to a finished size of 28 1/2" x 22", the colorful print appears in outstanding condition, a well-known art print depicting one of the most famous of all the early baseball images.
