1970-72 Spalding Official American League (Cronin) baseball, signed in blue fiber tip marker by Hall of Fame pitcher Stan Coveleski.  The signature appears strong, if shaky, on the east panel of the ball.  According to James Spence Authentication, unexplained ink remnants and abrasions, when viewed under their VSC mahine, suggest that there are signature removals on this baseball, which might explain the odd placement of Coveleski's signature.  Still, the ball comes from the collection of Ted Patterson, who obtained virtually all his autographs in person.  Regardless, Coveleski single-signed baseballs do have value, so bidders should be advised of the potential alteration on this ball.  Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
