Few cards in the hobby are hotter than the "Green Background" T206 Ty Cobb; it seems that with each sale, a new record is set.  Such astronomical prices are quickly rendering attractive specimens unaffordable, and rarely does an example hit the market which appears stronger than the assigned grade. 

Such is the case with this specimen, a bright, clear and sharp example, well-centered on the canvas with the image set slightly high, resulting in a narrow border, a condition issue consistent with this front/back combination.  Carefully selected by a consignor with an exceptional eye and discriminating taste, the card appears stronger than its assigned grade, the centering and very slight corner wear noticeable but also within the boundaries of cards we have seen with higher numerical grades.  The color and print registration is exceptionally strong.  A tremendous example of one of the extremely popular T206 issue's key cards, one of the most prized cards in the entire set.
